Ekin Erar is a Turkish architect and educator whose work integrates material research, digital fabrication, and craft-based construction. She teaches design studios and seminars that emphasize hands-on engagement with materials, investigating their sustainability, recyclability, and the labor conditions embedded in their use. Ekin has worked in architecture offices in the United States and Turkey, contributing to projects across Europe and the Americas. Her work has been featured in the Venice Architecture Biennale, the São Paulo Architecture Biennale, and in exhibitions at Rice University, Cornell AAP, and Pratt Institute. She served as the 2022–2023 Design Teaching Fellow at Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art, and Planning and currently teaches at Syracuse University School of Architecture.
